The play guide
How to play Match Cards
Match Cards borrows the column layout of solitaire but uses image triples instead of suit order. Only the outermost card of a column is available. A useful move therefore has two effects: it helps assemble a triple and changes which card you can reach next.
Your goal
Clear the board by grouping three identical picture cards consecutively in a column.
Controls
Drag the fully exposed card at the bottom of one column onto the bottom of another column, then release.
Your first round
- Identify the currently exposed cards and any pair that is close to becoming a triple.
- Drag an exposed card to another column to bring identical images together.
- After a triple disappears, inspect the newly uncovered cards before planning the next transfer.
This guide is based on the supplied game instructions.
Tips for your next attempt
- Prefer a transfer that both completes a triple and uncovers a card you need.
- Before parking an unmatched card, check what useful card it will cover.
- If no triple is immediate, plan a short sequence of transfers rather than building one long mixed pile.
Watch out for
- Partly covered cards cannot be moved until the cards in front are removed.
- Matching images in separate columns does not clear them; the three need to be consecutive in the same column.
