How to play 2248 Puzzle
2248 Puzzle uses drawn connections rather than whole-board sliding. A chain consumes matching tiles and leaves a larger value at the end of the path. That endpoint deserves attention: a long clear may be less useful if it leaves the new tile isolated from future matches.
Your goal
Continue forming valid chains to create larger numbers while keeping connections available.
Controls
Press a numbered tile and drag through adjacent tiles with the same value. Horizontal, vertical and diagonal connections are allowed; release to merge the chain.
Your first round
- Look for at least two adjacent tiles with the same number.
- Trace a chain through matching neighbors and choose its endpoint deliberately.
- Release to merge, then reassess the changed board for the next connection.

Tips for your next attempt
- Include diagonal neighbors when searching for a chain that is easy to miss.
- Before releasing, look around the endpoint for numbers that could pair with the result.
- Compare more than one chain instead of automatically taking the longest visible route.
Watch out for
- This version does not use a swipe to shift the whole board like a traditional 2048 game.
- A high-value tile with no useful neighbors can reduce your options despite the satisfying merge.
