The play guide
How to play Puzzle Box
Puzzle Box contains three separate rulesets. Number Merge combines equal values into larger blocks. Match & Clear removes connected groups of matching color. Logic Link connects same-color stars while covering the grid, so a short valid connection can still leave an unsolvable remainder.
Your goal
Meet the selected mode's rule: preserve merging space, clear color groups, or complete a full non-crossing path layout.
Controls
Click or tap to place number blocks or clear color groups. Hold and drag to draw the connections in Logic Link.
Your first round
- Choose the number, color-clearing or linking mode.
- For Number Merge, drop a block where it can combine with an equal value while leaving room.
- For Match & Clear, select an identical-color group of two or more blocks.
- For Logic Link, drag between matching stars and reserve space for every other path.
This guide is based on the supplied game instructions.
Tips for your next attempt
- In Number Merge, preserve space for future drops instead of chasing one merge at any cost.
- In Match & Clear, look for groups of at least two identical colors.
- In Logic Link, plan the paths together so every cell can be filled without crossings.
Watch out for
- A move that scores in one mode may not be legal in another.
- Connecting the stars alone is insufficient in Logic Link if grid cells remain unfilled.
