The play guide
How to play Link Line
Link Line has two linked requirements: connect the pairs and use the entire board. A very short connection may look efficient but strand empty cells or block another color. Evaluate a route by the space it leaves for the remaining paths.
Your goal
Join all matching endpoints with non-crossing paths that fill every square of the grid.
Controls
Press a colored endpoint and drag horizontally or vertically through the grid to its matching endpoint. Redraw a route to change it.
Your first round
- Find endpoint pairs with few possible routes, especially near narrow edges or corners.
- Draw a route while keeping corridors available for other colors.
- After connecting the pairs, check for empty squares and reroute lines until the whole board is covered.
This guide is based on the supplied game instructions.
Tips for your next attempt
- Look for a narrow corridor that only one color can use before drawing the easy-looking pairs.
- If an empty pocket remains, reconsider the boundary path around it instead of redrawing unrelated colors.
- Use horizontal and vertical neighbors only; diagonal-looking shortcuts are not legal paths.
Watch out for
- Connecting every pair is insufficient if any grid square remains empty.
- Drawing across an existing color breaks its route rather than creating a crossing.
